Profile of IPstudio - Architectural & Urban Design, headquartered in Italy. One project submitted by IPstudio - Architectural & Urban Design has been published on Architecture News Plus (ANP).
IPstudio - Architectural and urban design was founded in 2005. IPstudio deals with architecture as a practical artistic medium to transform assignments into abstractly built creations of conceptual logic and simplicity. The useful signals are constantly distilled from every site, with its peripheral conditions and its own identity, as basis and the setting for every designing process. Thus the work strives to find that which is unique and important within a given project, and to express that urbanistically and architecturally. For so the projects are distinctive for their conceptual clarity and visual intensity.
The studio’s designs are the result of careful integration of the client's aspirations, requirements, limitations, demands and acceptable standards. Conceptual purity, proportion, dynamics, expression, light, colour, space and scale form our core values.
The studio’s projects have been of diverse size and nature, and include urban design and planning. Apart from alterations or the construction of new residential units, offices and re-creative/commercial buildings, renewal and restructure of existing buildings through urban intervention plans for brownfield sites form part of the range of assignments. In addition to the architectural practice, architect Luca Paparoni and architect Graziella Iskandar both are assistant professors at “Università degli Studi di Firenze – Facoltà di Architettura” for the course of “progettazione architettonica e urbana”. Architect Luca Paparoni serves in the body of the technical advisors for the municipality of Ponsacco Pisa, and also for the Union of the 15 Municipalities of the Valdera Pisa; and he currently chairs the urban planning committee of the municipality of Ponsacco Pisa.
