Profile of Christensen & Co Architects, headquartered in Denmark. One project submitted by Christensen & Co Architects has been published on Architecture News Plus (ANP).
Christensen & Co Architects is an international architectural practice with extensive experience designing within a range of architectural sectors: educational, research, culture, retail, residential and master planning.
At the core of this platform lies a strong Scandinavian design tradition where the main aims are clarity and simplicity in form with an emphasis on functionality. We pride ourselves at creating buildings where beautiful design does not compromise the human aspect.
We believe that architecture applies to all aspects of a building. One can’t consider aesthetics, budget, sustainability or function alone. To make truly unique buildings, one must have the skill to consider many criteria in parallel and make them feed into the project. Only this way can a project be considered successful for all parties involved.
Since forming in 2006 Christensen & Co Architects have managed to win several competitions. Recently a bio-medical research facility and very large master plan in Almere, Holland has been added to the list of successful competition entries. In Denmark CCO’s prestigious ”Green Light House” has just been completed. The Green Lighthouse is the new faculty building of the University of Copenhagen and will serve as a showcase in sustainability at the UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen in December this year.
