Brief description
Ignacio Borrego (ETSA Madrid 2000), Néstor Montenegro (ETSA Madrid 2000) and Lina Toro (UPB Medellín 2001) formed dosmasunoarquitectos in 2002.
They have been prize winners in 25 national and international competitions, among which the following could be highlighted: 67 dwellings in Colmenar Viejo, University Central Library and Museum in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, 102 dwellings for the EMVS in Madrid, 17 dwellings for the EMVS in Madrid, all of them under different phases of construction; and also Europan 7 in Slovenia and Spain, Casa de las Artes in Cadiz, Reorganisation of the Llano Amarillo in Algeciras and the Masterplan for the Justice Campus in Madrid.
They have been lecturers in ETSA Madrid, UCJC Madrid and UIC Barcelona, and are currently teaching in ETSA Madrid and UEM Madrid. Besides, they have been visiting lecturers in Athens, Alghero, Barcelona, Bogota, Brussels, Buenos Aires, Evora, La Paz, Ljubljana, Lima, Lisboa, Medellin, Montevideo, Santo Domingo, Sao Paulo, Puebla, Valencia, Weimar or Zurich.
Their work and articles have been presented in diverse publications of architecture, conferences and collective exhibitions, such as the XI Biennale di Arquitectura di Venezia, JAE (Young Architects from Spain) Exhibition in Columbia University, NY, the III and IV Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura, the 2003 Biennale in Sao Paulo or the 2008 Biennale in Moscow. Moreover, they have taken part in many other national collective exhibitions, such as ‘Obra Reciente’, ‘Abierto’, ‘Crudo 100%’ or ‘Cómo’, at Fundación COAM.
Furthermore, they have curated several exhibitions and conferences series, as Monoespacios for the Fundación Arquitectura COAM. They are currently directors of the magazine Arquitectos published by the Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España.
