Brief description

Chalupa Architekti is an office for architecture, urbanism and related fields. It is dedicated to creating and implementing designs with distinctive concepts and strong contextual ties to the surroundings. The emphasis is put on an intensive analysis of every task that leads to powerful conceptual solutions.

Successfully completed projects of the team include a.o. the Czech Pavilion for the World EXPO 2000 in Hannover, the vestibule of the Prague Metro station Kolbenova, an extension of a vineyard gazebo in Prague or the Metropol Hotel in Prague. Realizations of the office are published internationally (e.g. in The Phaidon Atlas of Contemporary Architecture, The Phaidon Atlas of 21st Century World Architecture) and they have been nominated for awards (Mies van der Rohe Award – Metro station Kolbenova, Metropol Hotel).
