Designer's statement

Altazor's interior design retains its striking, spatial dynamics, while providing the opportunity to "discover" the garden and vistas from the strategically located windows and terraces. It is a project predicated upon the striking visuals of its environment.

The house is located in a medium size plot of land and organized in along a right angle next to the traditional courtyard house. This typology places the garden as the protagonist of the property's space and the geometry of the plants emphasizes this point of view from the main access. The different levels create various perspectives of the "floating spaces" linked with a vertical circulation.

Altazor’s internal spaces and outdoor tropical vegetation constantly interact with each other and the sound of the chiming bells that emanates from the Maria Auxiliadora convent next door. The confluence of these elements generating a distinct world of experiences and sensory landscape that makes the Altazor House a unique structure within its climate and city.
