This is a project by De Amicis Architetti and it is located at Milan, Italy. Project's program: Renovation of two floors of a landmark office building. There are fourteen images for Legal Office in Piazza Cadorna.
The project of renovation concerns the second and the third level of a valuable building, situated in the center of Milan. The intervention, according to the program, consists of two parts: an operative one - the back office, and a public one - the front office.
This latter part is thought to be easily accessible from the whole environment and at the same time to enable to perceive, not to see completely, the extension of the operating hearth.
The back office presents a cellular structure, composed by a sequence of closed offices for the associates and open spaces for the staff and the operating units.
Instead, the front office, which is dedicated to the clients, is essentially constituted by south-facing meeting rooms, defined by glass walls enriched by curtains and graphic design.
The use of the natural light and the valorization of the square view have driven this final disposition.
In the logic of functional separation of the spaces, the circulation has been particularly prominent to also connect the two parts visually.
As consequence, the precious marble paving of the entrance merges into the corridor, dominated by the strong scenic presence of the marble staircase which joins the two levels of the office.
The tradition of the legal office has brought to search for a concept able to transmit reliability and assurance; the work moreover moves in the track of the examples of the typical 50’s middle-class interiors.
The solutions aim to emphasize the main preexistent elements (big vertical height, structural arches, and large windows) and to search for high quality and opulence through classical materials, such as marble “calacatta rosato”, solid wood and design furniture.
The materials, utilized in natural finishes, determinate the colour spectrum.
