This is a project by Giovanni D'Ambrosio and it is located at Bali, Indonesia. There are eight images for Bournias House.
This villa has been inserted into the tropical forest. The building method is a mixture between primitive technology and personal Western experience. The house was built with a 2-layer declining roof, facing the swimming pool. Hot air cools down after touching the water of the pool, after which the air goes up between the two layers. Because of the sun the air will be heated up so that the air continues moving upwards. This natural process leaves the second layer – the one adjacent to the internal part of the house – isolated from the heath, so that it guarantees freshness inside.
The façade of the house has been partially composed of wooden slats arranged after an ancient example.
