This is a project by Santiago Cordeyro Arquitectos and it is located at Buenos Aires, Argentina. Project's program: Single family house. There are twenty three images for Casa LS.
A simple idea: two parallel boxes out of phase, thus creating a middle space containing the vertical circulations, in turn creating a well-lit space with side woodwork and a skylight moved to let in dome light.
On the first floor boxes overlap and move from those on the ground floor, creating a set of volumes and breaks, openings and projections between the first floor and the ground floor. The projection of one of the boxes on the first floor contains a gallery on the ground floor. The façade towards the water includes a great partition with three sides, acting as a parasol to protect this highly glazed panel from the sun in the summer, providing very good views to the water .
As an additional touch, the pool which articulates with the house and is located next to the ground floor vacuum blends with the lake water, tightening this situation with one side of the pool entirely glazed by using a 4 m x 2m tempered multi-layer.
White dominates in this work, but different materials give it warmth, such as exposed concrete partitions, wood lining, anodized aluminum woodwork, metal bright-colored doors.
A good balance between function, shape and space.
