Designer's statement

Jewelry shop which sparkles under the starry skies:

The planned location was a corner lot situated in the center of a business district in Minami-senba, Osaka. The average age of the residents in this area is comparatively higher than in the surrounding areas, and high-end users and those who have particular tastes in fashion gather here. In addition, consideration was given to its location as a business center, where more customers gather in the early evening after work hours rather than during the daytime.

Although the tenant’s store faces the street, the opening through which the inside of the store can be seen and products can be displayed directly, was limited. Furthermore, the only opening was narrow and above the chest height.

The issues were that the main customer-attracting time was from early evening onwards, and the limited view from the outside was highly disadvantageous for a merchandising store.

Solving the above two issues and appealing to passersby the DEMARIA brand was required.
