Designer's statement

A house, an office, a shop: it’s a building which wraps around itself and embodies a functional diagram of a private and a public space and the intersection between those.

This intersection is an inhabitable sloping plan shared between the office, it can be an informal meeting room, and the house, it can be a dining room's “overstepping”.

The sloping plan become therefore a functional junction and the symbolic hinge of the whole building. It’s a plan that is set out different levels and hosts soft seatings, a bar zone and a reading area: is a sequence of steps eroded by daily uses that thus shape such an unusual home theatre.

The clear distinction of the functional areas provided with separate accesses will guarantee the possibility of parceled out sale of each unit.
