Architect's statement

It is a renovation project of IT office located at the center of Tokyo. As it was planned to move out in several years, a minimum renovation plan, one layer on top of existing condition, was proposed. Since most of the existing office communications including conference are done on computers, free space was created for encouraging active communications,

There is no fixed seat list. Office workers can choose their seat everyday from the randomly arranged seats and see different co-workers and view. In the space wrapped in the fake turf of, shoes are taken off, free communications arise in a free style in the laid-back mode, and the worker who was only processing information accomplishes to be knowledge worker.
