Architect's statement
The old building was a construction typical of the ‘60s, but it was prematurely worn-out and needed an overall revaluation.
The old decorative columns have been removed to give a panoramic view of the Royal Park.
The uninsulated stone façade and the aluminium window frames are replaced by an insulated façade made of wooden panels and wooden frames, all protected from the rain by a continuous screen made of tilted glass blades.
The horizontal wooden Venetian blinds in front of each window provide a comfortable glare-free work environment. The tilt angle of the wooden slats can be modified in function of the direction of incoming natural light.
