This is a project by Giancarlo Zema Design Group and it is located at Marina di Carrara, Milan, Italy. There are thirteen images for Petals.
Petals is a 100 sqm modular exhibition stand in DuPont™ Corian® for the Avanzini Group, a leading company in the development of innovative materials. The inspiration came from observing the flowers with their petals -- large petals in Corian® 5.8 metres long and 2.4 metres high, were designed to accommodate items of the Avanzini products on organic panels.
The complete modular stand was designed such that it could be easily moved around European tours at some of the major exhibition fairs. The stand houses two or three large display elements (petals), reception and brochure cases, all following the same soft line in Corian®, designed to blend.
All the furniture, tables and stools are part of the Ring Collection designed by Zema for the Giovannetti Collezioni d’Arredamento firm. The great Henry Moore's sculptures inspired the essence of the Ring series. An idea born as a homage to the great English Master who changed the world of modern art. Table, chair and stool owe their lightness to large holes in the sides, that become a suitable place for bags, magazines or small objects. The objects are realized in double color polyurethane with either a rough or smooth finish and the possibility to choose different combinations of colours to match the general style of the surroundings. The height of the objects can be modified to suit the user’s needs by pressing a button that activates an internal gas piston.
