Architect's statement

The projects Blaas is the fruit of a special focus to the client's needs, the context and the utilization. For the Blaas project, a trading firm for the solid building, a contained architecture in fair faced concrete and glass gives maximum prominence and visibility to the displayed items.

The main materials used in this projects are concrete for the structure and glass for the façade.

The entrance area features an inviting free standing stairway with an organic stairway opening and a skylight above. This skylight allows excellent two-sided illumination of the office work places. The massive construction style provides enough thermal mass to allow the building to absorb heat during the day and to release it during the night.

The building with a full glass façade extending across two floors resembles a showcase. A balcony extending approximately five meters serves as a canopy for the customer entrance and also as an employee outdoor area for special workshop activities.
