Architect's statement

The challenge was to come up with a small budget. That’s why the construction had to be simple and economical, based on inexpensive and easy to obtain materials. We decided to use chipboard, steel and wood as dominant materials and strong colors which enrich the interior space.

The principal material which organizes the space where a lot of activity takes place is wood used for the flooring and the counter. To obtain maximum spatial flexibility and functional efficiency we’ve used sliding walls. The rest of the interior divisions were eliminated. The layout is marked by colorful walls with captions on pillars which refer to flavors and colors of fruit, vegetables and chocolate (banana, carrot, spinach, tomato, peach, etc.). Colors and flavors are the elements linking the interior with its purpose.
