Architect's statement
This structure located in Kyoto, Japan, is a renovation project -- from a Japanese traditional house to a gallery for modern art and the owner's private weekend house.
The façade is mostly traditional wooden style, which suits the surroundings. The interior is kept simple and calm, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the art collection.
